In light of recent events affecting Jewish communities around the world, we kindly ask that all attendees register in advance for the communal candle lighting at Shaare Zion Beth-El, taking place on Saturday, December 20, at 6:00 pm. For the safety and well-being of our community, entry into the synagogue, that evening, will be limited to those who have registered ahead of time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and look forward to gathering together in the spirit of unity and light. |

Chanukah is the festival that celebrates the rededication of the Beit Hamikdash (the Temple) in Jerusalem in the second century b.c.
We celebrate by lighting candles each night in ascending order for 8 nights.
