A little food, a little sports and A LOT of fun was had at our Sha-BBQ evening for young families.
A Teaching Moment- Geniza
SZBE clergy were out in the rain blowing Shofar and sharing a teaching moment about Geniza-the tradition of burying Jewish Holy Books & material -in an annual program with Solomon Schechter Academy students.
Biking has Never Been More Fun!
Over a dozen participants joined us for a relaxing and easy bike ride in and around our great city. Fresh air, exercise topped off with learning and snacks is a great way to start any Friday morning!
Walking Together is Better Than Alone!
Beautiful weather and a scenic route. That is exactly what we delivered to a group of over 15 walkers who came out to Walk with the Rabbi through Beaver Lake and Mount Royal. The group was treated to coffee and danish as they had a teaching moment led by Rabbi Leff.
Running in the Rain....and Having a Blast!
A group of brave runners came out on July 18th to Run with the Rabbi, enjoy a cold beer and a learning moment AND we had more people at Minyan..BONUS!
We were honoured and inspired by Armand Cymbalista, 88 years old, who joined us in the pouring rain for the 5K run. Yasher Koach!!
